Home and Away‘s Nikau Parata helps to save the life of newcomer Millie on UK screens next week.
Nikau is horrified to see Millie heading into dangerous waters on the beach, clearly in emotional turmoil.
Upcoming episodes on Channel 5 see Millie continue to recover in hospital following her involvement in the car crash that killed her friend Jo.
Xander Delaney, who helped to rescue Millie at the crash scene, tries to support her on an ongoing basis by paying visits to her at the hospital.

Xander’s sister Jasmine is concerned over this, feeling that Millie would be better off speaking to a grief counsellor or her family. She can’t help fearing that Xander is getting overly invested in Millie’s situation.
Later, Logan Bennett – who was also involved in the car crash – confides in Jasmine about how the police believe he may have been speeding. This would make him culpable for Jo’s death.
Jasmine shares this information with Xander, but swears him to secrecy because it involves her colleague. Xander is shocked by the revelation, aware that Millie has been blaming herself for the crash.
When Xander goes to speak to Millie at the hospital, he’s worried to find her room empty.

Shortly afterwards, local lifeguard Nikau arrives for beach patrol and spots a woman – Millie – walking straight into the ocean fully clothed.
Nikau shouts that a dangerous rip is forming and Millie should turn around, but she ignores him and marches further into the sea.
Spotting the imminent danger, Nikau goes into rescue mode and rushes into the water. By the time he reaches Millie, she has already lost consciousness and needs to be dragged to the shore.
Xander spots Nikau pulling an unconscious Millie out of the sea. Nikau realises that Millie isn’t breathing, so Xander uses his paramedic skills and begins chest compressions.

Once Millie is breathing again, she explains her emotional distress by revealing how guilty she feels for Jo’s death.
With Jasmine watching on, Xander lets slip to Millie that Logan was to blame for the crash rather than her.
Jasmine is shocked that he would betray her confidence like this, but the damage may already be done.
Home and Away airs these scenes on Wednesday, June 22 and Thursday, June 23 at 1.15pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
